I bought a box on Ebay and payment was recieved on september 12.
My delivery estimate was from the 20th to the 26th.. :nonono:
I've sent emails to the seller throughout the process and none of them have been returned.
guess I should call Ebay now?

Cheers OSS :afro:

Nah.

I had an item paid for on Sept. 9th. Expected delivery 17th-19th. I didn't get it until Sept. 26th  .

Hold your britches ;-)

Post seller here, maybe someone else can tell you from experience or we can watch to be cautious from seller

Sounds like the dude is just doing what I do sometimes......Claim it was shipped on a certain day when it was really a few days later

Aren't those shipping dates given before the auction is even over? I thought I always seen the estimate timing during auctions, but of course they are just the estimated times. I wouldn't sweat that... but....

I would sweat the person not getting back to you. When I win an auction, I pay immediately, contact them regarding my packaging requirements and make sure we avoid damage drama, but of course also start communication. Sometimes I guess I haven't heard back, but I have seen a tracking # within a few days, if I had neither for over a week I would be worried. But that's just my take.

And assuming this was for the $46 Pioneer SK-550, at least you aren't waiting on a $910+ purchase on a Lasonic 931 like someone apparently just paid.

sSpeaking of bad packaging. Below is what I just found on my step. I might've forgot to contact this seller as the box was a cheap price and I think I was more worried about a few others I spent more on at the time. But somehow this terrible wrapping job of paper over a folded/shaped box and bubble wrap made it just fine, then I've had others that are packed rather good and just get killed.

Actually in better condition than I thought. A bit on the small side for me, but i think it was a good price. I'm a sucker for white woofers.

Some people sell some thing and then don't return to ebay for a while - they don't always understand that we are watching and waiting for a item - communication is king

some time getting ebay to send them a pm asking what is happening to the item is best - a gentle nudge to say
if not then it starts a case against the seller

i would get ebay to see what they can get rolling - at least you would start to know what is going on instead of being left in the dark mate

good luck and hope all works out for you

:agree: to be a good seller you should always keep the communication going  That is one of the biggest problems with many sellers is very little communication between buyer and seller. When I sell I always send messages to buyer in regards to every step. From the moment they purchase, to me packing and posting....That's including keeping my own track of package after I ship, because until buyer recieves and states they are happy with package, then I am not fully relinguished from responsibility  there was even a few times when tracking report showed package not delivered on date it was suppose to happen that I would send buyer info just to ease mind ;-)

The seller is chad10752007
somehow he has collected 100% positive feedback. {wait till I put my two cents in though!}
He is not selling anything else at the moment.
No communication, no tracking number, not even a notification that it has been shipped.

Lots of great info from past experiences. First thing I keyed in on wes "Estimate". Then, I started thinking, the seller prob. took his sweet time either mailing it off due to being angry he didn't get more for it. Prob wasn't as high a priority for him/her. Just an guess. Still hoping the best for you Brother. ;-)

Scott, I don't think being one day past the shipping date is a reason to give him bad feedback. Slow your roll a bit, the postal service could be at fault not him, and for all you know he mailed it in good faith and is camping on a holiday expecting it to arrive properly. Before you get so Irate, wait a few days. I ship all over the world and in my last auctions I had a boombox make it to Russia in five days, but to Wisconsin in 7 days! You have 45 days to make a claim, so give it a week before any panic sets in, hopefully it will be sorted out by then

I got one from Hong Kong in 6 days. :hmmm:

It's amazing how fast the postal services work in First World countries...wish we had that here in this country...

OK. Thanks for the feedback.
I guess I've never had to wait this long before.
Sometimes I get that urge and I just have to have a new box.

Yep, you've got 45 days from the date of your payment to file a dispute/claim with eBay's Buyer Protection. However, the rules say you can start the dispute process with eBay anytime after the outside estimated date of arrival... so long as you've made an attempt to contact the seller first... which you've done.

The way I understand it, the first thing eBay does when you contact them is (like you) try to make contact with the seller and encourage him/her to communicate with you. After 7 days, eBay will ask you if things have been resolved. If not, then you stand on solid ground for filing a claim for a refund.

So... while you could wait a while to begin the process, there's really no need to. Once it's past the latest estimated arrival date and you've attempted to contact the seller but received no response, why not get started? It can't hurt.

I'm in the same boat. Bought a box from eBay and I sent a message to him/her to please package the radio with as much bubble wrap as possible. That I'd rather have a complete box than a claim for a broken one. He answered me about a week and a half later. Stated he was looking for more bubble wrap. Told him to take his time and I just looked at it today and it's finally on it's way. So now I'm kinda anxious as to what I'm about to get! :hmmm: :hmmm:
You guys might like this one and maybe you won't. But it's a biggie! I'll show it off when it gets here!
