Got a time ago this little GOLDSTAR.
Anybody must have left it in hot sunlight.
Scale and tapedoor deformed, tape not working, grip broken,.... :'-(

So let´s part it out....

Try a rescue.
Like the style of this thing.
So open:

quite easy to rebelt:

crazy mounting of the trafo

check: works

but the deformed scale spoils with the pointer inside

careful heating with a candle and pushing outside.
Maybe i make a new scale some time...

but the look is a little boring.
Need some colorwork

had some metallicblue left, so let´s go

but the damaged tapedoor looks
Hey, take out the broken WATSON off the storage and part it.

No , the whole tapedoor will not fit!
But the cover of it

simply glueing it on it

need no new grip.
But holders for a strap

Tadah, a new STAR is born :super:

Of course, it would be not worth a restauration.
But just for fun

the blue cheapy GOLDSTAR

happy again

the double tapedoor

will ride with the critical mass on friday.
Hope weather is ok, if rain no boom.
Will not risk a underwater cheapy

maybe the loudest bike at the ride...

btw: the same time this old weapon bike got some restauration.
But i kept it in original condtion, only technical work and saving with transparent color from rusting.
