Shipping Help

I've never really had to deal with shipping a boombox directly so I was hoping you guys could help me out.

Here's the deal:

My friend is picking me up a boombox still in the original packaging from his local craigslist. Is it safe for him to just take it to the UPS store and let them handle packaging etc?

yes -- thats a good idea -

make sure he insures it for you -
and if the original carton is important/valuable to you -
then pay the $$ extra to have the UPS make the outer carton
