Picked this up this morning and Im no expert but Ive never seen one. Has some “features” that make me thinks it was imported at some point (shortwave and arabic warning label

Sharp made like 20 different models in that WQ lineup. You don't see them everyday because I don't think most boombox guys are really searching for them either.

Thanks! Definitely didn't think it was desireable but I was surrprised I couldnt find this model anywhere? but maybe Im just a bad googler!

Yeah. Those models were nothing special either, although some of them could make a lot of noise. I think the 232 was the more popular one.

I have two later Sharp Twin Deck models, both on the higher end than the model pictured.

Hello there

I understand arabic. That's means you should confirm the voltage was chosen in the voltage function. If it not suitable to your electric voltage, you should use screwdriver to change it.

they were quite common in the uk late 80s. i have a back to back one with x bass & surround sound. its ok but i prefer the early 80s boxes where they put a lot more thought into them and build quality
