Hey guys, just have a quick question about the Sharp VZ line. How is the sound quality of these boxes compared to a traditional flat platter turntable? I am thinking of picking up a 3500 (I know not really a boombox ;-) ) just because of it's small footprint to save on space in my tiny little room. Is it worthwhile to use as a general listening device for my vinyl, or just more of a cool vintage item to get the ladies? :smooch:

Thanks!

If the 3500 comes with the original speakers, JUMP ON IT LIKE NOW!! The VZ-3000 and VZ-3500 are well known for losing their speakers.

It's BOTH.
I've got a 3000 too and it sounds great!
Can always put even better speakers on them too.

I'd jump on it!

Rock On.

Awesome, thanks for the prompt replies fellas!

Sadly, original speakers are not included. :-/

I looked up a manual for this to check on some spec things and noticed one of the outputs was "Aux(REC): 120mV, 100k ohms"

Forgive my incompetency, but does this mean I can run output from this into my current receiver+speakers setup?

(I can't wait to spin my picture discs on this thing!)
