Hi All.

I have bought a VZ-2000 and want to start restoring. Ordered new belts etc so should be able to do that fine. Not sure about these spots/blemishes on the aliuminium style metal trim. Tried a little bit of metal posh on a small section and it didn't do much. Anyone got this problem on theres or a similar deck ? Can thry be cleaned out or here to stay ? Cheers

Wash with light soap solution and see if those marks go away! I doubt!

Sorry! When Al oxidizes nothing can be done to restore it to the original beauty. Those lettering will rub off when you try to use anything abrasive to polish it.
Apply a thin layer of wax and forget about the looks.

Our members here used to make decals of many units like this. That is another option. If not get that part from a donor VZ2000.

What wax do you recommend/use in instances like this ?
