SHARP VZ 2000 record deck problem

I've see with lots of Sharp VZ 2000's there is always a problem with the record player, I'm going with my hands and know a few people that fix hi-fi's and do you guys think that its worth doing? I just don't wanna run into problem after problem.

My 777 is coming but I'd love to rock the VZ also I've got lods of records.
