So I am using the strip down instructions. I have removed the record deck from 2 other VZ2000's now but a new one arrived today and I can't for the life of me seem to get the record deck out.

I have given up for the time being as I don't want to break anything. I've loosened the 2 internal screws, removed the dials/knobs and everything, including the sneaky tuning screw,

I've tried tipping, pushing down, I've even removed the base springs thinking that might work, but no..

What am I missing here?

Never mind it was these sods. Pretty sure this vz 2000 is quite an old model as it had 3 - one in the batt compartment and 2 on the back. Other ones haven't had this. Nothings brokeen yay!

If I'm not mistaken, I think those are the shipping screws to keep the turntable from bouncing all over the place during transit/shipping. Someone correct me if Im wrong :hmmm: If thats what they are, your lucky to have those still  Glad you got it all figured out man.
