Thanks Bro,Lasonic TRC-920 said:Nice find. Looks like you've got some work to do. I had to repair the cassette door on mine as well. Hows the paint on yours, you gonna be able to just peel those stickers?
Hey Bro, you wouldn't happen to have a counter reset button for this model laying around? The counter reset button on this model is separate from the counter and is attached and mounted to the top of the front case.baddboybill said:Very cool to my experience most leaf switches are same. Some arms might be different length

Yep, there were a few dead cockroaches. I really thought it was going to be really bad when I opened it up, but it turned out not to be that dirty. I checked all boards with a magnifying glass and did not find any poop. I gave it a good cleaning and all is working well. For $100.00 shipped I thought it was worth the chance.BoomboxLover48 said:My laser vision points out one thing!
There were some bugs living inside that VZ2000. I see their poop debris that causes rust to the metal parts.
They can cause lots of damage to the circuit, metal parts, contacts and all.
Sharp VZ 2000 $60.00, Shipping $40.00. Had to grab it.BoomboxLover48 said:What a deal!
Shipping alone for mine was $75! wow!
Roach poop contains excess uric acid which can cause corrosion to metal parts.
I'm glad you could clean it all. Hope they didn't leave their special cologne in the VZ2000.
I did the same thing on mine. The drilled hole was so tight and perfect so that without the glue it was staying there perfect, but I put glue to make sure it is secure!Alberto said:I got some solid metal rod and cut 2 pieces 5/8 long. Drilled out the cassette tray and glued the rod pieces to the cassette tray. You can see one side at hinge.

The cassette tray now goes up and down with the cassette door like it should.
