I'm new to boomboxes and I'm very partial to Sharps, they are just gorgeous.
Is there any specific meaning behind the different prefixes in the names e.g. GF Wq QT?

I believe QT is a playing on the English pronounciation of letters...
So QT=cutie meaning those boxes are minis
As for GF - I have no idea

An old friend of mine once suggested it might stand for ghetto funk.. though I'm not so sure. What about 'Great Find'?

W is definitely a denomination for double cassette.

GF standing for Great Find works great with The Searcher monicker they used!

Rock On.

Ooh, clearer now. I like those. Thanks everybody.
QT is clever. I wonder why the W was used for double cassette. Maybe something to do with double-u.... Not as clever
