SHARP GF9090 - good box bad shipped

One more ebay story.
Got a BIN on a nice SHARP GF9090 2 weeks ago.
The seller is located in austria, so no long way to ship.

On friday the parcel arrived! :sin:

First look before opening.
Hm, littlebit weak boxing....

Oh sh*t..... newspaper :annoyed:

Taking away the paper.
Wow, nearly nothing around, except a littlebit paper. :'-(
Another smashed boombox?

But sometimes wonders can come true!
The box survived without any damage!!!! :super:

The 9090 is one example for a real classic boombox.
Solid made, analog VUs, crome, twin aerial,....

Radio, tape, everything works fine.
And the sound is also good.

Also the APSS is working fine!

The GF9090 - a true surviver!

btw: the seller gets a good note for sure.
And a mail with some shipping advice for next time.

I don't like the way the boombox didn't have protection for the sides... They essentially sandwiched the box between newspaper and left everything else wide open. The package could've been dropped on its side and you could've had some busted corners/sides. Luckily, it survived the trip!

Nice one Roman, the 9090 is an excellent example of the classic box.
My heart skipped a beat when I saw that newspaper, are there that many people who honestly think that's adequate packing?

I found last week at the flea market the same model in good condition,
(what a coincidence) for about 8 euros, I will post that soon.
