my sharp tape deck will not stop when its done fast forwarding or rewinding a tape it clicks when it gets to the end of a tape

Probably worn belts. More torque is needed at the end of the tape. Worn belts cannot provide that torque anymore

yup worn belts so auto stop will not work .
