Hi, can anyone tell me about this boombox ? I have been given one that doesn't work too well, the radio is noisy and the cassette deck needs new belts. I checked the amp by plugging a microphone into the L & R mic channels & pressing the cassete Play,Record and Pause buttons & it works fine. I'm wondering what the "mix" socket is for ? Also if I can use it as an amplifier without pressing cassette buttons ? I want to use this box as a busking amplifier for voices & acoustic guitars, has anyone else done this, any advice ? It might help to say it has been used in a school, mostly for playing cassettes, so the deck is probably worn out.
I'm not a serious beatboxer, more of a musician with some electronics experience - if anyone can tell me a good box that can be used as an amplifier, that would be great, maybe I should sell this bbx to someone who really wants it ? Thank you.

The bbx has been stored or sitting for 30 years and will have dust and dirt in controls and pots
