Jeannie had asked me today what the W means in W Double Cassette anyone

Japanese play on the letter W. 'Double' U, double cassette.

A lot of manufacturers used this delightful little gimmick, a friend who was living over there for a few years told me they love doing things like that.

Think about it, all our letters are simple A is A, B is B, C is C, D is D.
But W isn't W. It's Double U. It's an oddity in our alphabet. There's no Double T or Double M.
It's ridiculousl!

Imagine how stupid it would be to recite the alphabet and reach W and say "Wuh" or "Wah" or "Woo". That is why they chose Double-U.
