Depends how bad they are ... if paint is still stuck on then I usually find baby wipes get most marks off - I sometimes wrap a baby wipe around a plastic spatula (to ensure it does not add scratches) and go very slowly and carefully at chipping the paint spots off one by one and then wipe over again with a new baby wipe ... it's amazing what muck they will shift.

If the paint marks are off and there is still shadows where they were, then you might need some other method of cleaning the coloured plastic that I am not so familiar with :-)

If you do end up needing the code, here's the current RAL chart which will enable anyone who uses RAL to mix the correct shade for you, this includes Halfords, Marble Arch Motor Accessories, B&Q, Stanners Signs and many more paint factors. It's posted at full size so click it to see the codes clearly:

Strip it, soak the casing in hot soapy water, then use the edge of an old credit card...works wonders :-)

Just make sure you get all the water out of the screw holes. Its a bitch and it never seems to come out of there. You don't want the screws rusting. I've left soaked boxes out in the hot hot sun for days and there is still water in those little holes, eventually I use an air compressor and it is still a biatch to get out!!!
