It could be something as simple as dirty switches or knobs. Find some good electronics contact cleaner such as DeOxit and see what happens. Welcome aboard!!

depends where you are

I got a man down here in the Thames Valley who fixes them up - currently fettliing my GF9494

TBH - you maybe better off buying a 2nd GF9191 from the bay and doing 1 for 1 replacement of faulty parts, as 9191's are pretty common (although not in grundons)

Good Find!

:agree:

Mine had exactly the same issue, some contact cleaner sprayed in the sliders worked wonders.

Try it, it would be cheaper and quicker than paying someone for a relatively simple task.

Just make note that there are felt and fabric protectors over the sliders that will prevent cleaner from getting down into the right place.. For best access to those sliders, you should take the buttons, the front and the top off... Good hour-long project or so for a rainy day,

I really wouldn't try squiring contact cleaner direcltly in without disassembling the top.

Good luck getting it up to 100%

A good point, spraying contact cleaner straight into the slider area will just make a mess and achieve little else.

Disassembly is most definitely required to do a proper job.

deoxit will do sometimes the trick i have used it a lot of times but if that does not work then its more technical work involved , sometimes you might resort on trying to find a beater then swapping parts if the cleaner does not work :-)
