Sharp GF-8585

At the moment I'm looking at a Sharp GF-8585 And the Seller is looking £60, the tape deck is not working So I intend to use the phono input but on the images It is meant for a turntable and I would assume the turntable is not amplified like a MP3 player... Would the MP3 source be distorted is it worth considering?

If you turn your mp3 player volume waaaay down it works ok..just pick up a phono attenuator!!

swell choice about the 8585-not as heavy hitting for sound as the 9191 or 9090 but still its all about looks with the 85-a little bit like the look of the 9494 imho
