Sharp GF-777 speaker grill plugs

The speaker grills barely want to stay on my crappy GF-777 as it appears the plugs where the grills push on are worn out pretty bad. (sorry no pics). Does anyone have an engenious method of replacing these rubber plugs, or ??

Maybe wrap a few layers of clear tape around the peg on the grill until it feels tight enough for you.

This did pass through my non-creative mind or maybe black electrical tape.. hmm

Gosh! You can get lots of plugs similar to that at Menards. I was shocked when I saw all those types there.
