whats up to all, want to share my most recent project ..took the whoe radio apart ...with a little help from fatdogs 777 rebelt p.d.f it was a so helpful really made this task simple  this radio wan't really bad but was really dirty so i decided to tear it all down ..lubed all switches and pots ...the only real issue was a huge scratch on the tuner glass and cassette decks were dull..so i broke out withe the heavy artillary used a little 3m compound and a wool finishing pad followed by a litte kit scratch remover for a nice finish,,,a little plastic x by hand for the finish looks brand new ..then it went for a dunk in the tub to was off all the years of dirt...i spent about 20 hrs on this project in the end im very satisfied how this turned out..has a little issue with the tuner stereo light goes in and out so thats a job for my service tech other than that she really cranks..once i get the grills painted i will put a nice set of fatdogs labels to put this box over the top..here are all the pics :breakdance: :breakdance: :breakdance:

I'll always hold these stylishly designed boxes in high regard. They're beautiful. They are packed full of gadgets and I like options. Very well done Brother Jimmy. Save that one for me  Fun picks.

The GF-777 can be a very intimidating box to work on - especially the first time. It appears you handled it like a pro. Nice job!

Sick work Jimmy. That bottom pic is sexy as hell. Fatdog's labels(esp the vette version) are perfect. Just don't go giving anyone a crack in the head with either of those, you put too much work into em...that's what coby's are for

Very Impressive !

...how did you get on with the silver panel around the tuner glass? mine is starting to corrode, and i'm worried about the decals around the switches.
