Sharp GF-767 tuner doesn't power off issue

Hello,

Strange behaviour of my Sharp..., when I switch from tuner to tape or line, the tuner stays on ( you don't hear the radio, but the stereo indicator stays on). Anyone an idea of what this could be.

this is normal operation for most radios i have had, i wouldn't worry about it

Well, it wasn't so when I just got it, I noticed it after I had worked on it ):-

Could be the contacts in the mode switch.

Don’t quite understand your question, but a 555 needs not only belts, also two capstan rubbers and two winding gears (original ones have become fragile over the years). Items are for sale on Ebay.
