Anyone have any idea how many amps this box draws from its DC adapter? I have a tidy example of the GF-7 but am searching the thrift shops for compatible adapter. There doesn't seem to be many adapters around with a negative pin polarity either. :hmmm:

Thanks. :smooch: This seems more likely than the 350 mA someone else suggested a while back. Any idea how many watts this box puts out? I don't have a spec sheet and I would be interested to know.

Here's an original adaptor rated at 500mA

Thanks for the specs. :smooch: :smooch: My box is a GF-7A so I'm assuming the total output would be 10 watts or under. That means the box could be drawing upto 1200 mA or so. That helps.

Thread update. Finally got this baby working yesterday. Picked up a suitable adapter from a thrift shop for two bucks. Everything comes to him who waits. Total cost to date: two bucks and the bruised abdominal muscles I got leaning into the skip. It now has pride of place in my new workshop. :-D

When I use the headphone / line out jacks, the sound keeps coming out of the speakers. This is a real problem as I have a lot of tapes to digitize! Anyone know how (and if) can I mute the speakers when using phones / lineout?
