Sharp GF-6060 worth $50.00???

Hey all-
I'm a newbie to collecting boxes, but I have a shot at getting a Sharp GF-6060 for $50.00. Supposed to work 100% and is in nice shape. Is this a decent box for $50.00? Any other opinions on this box....good or bad?

There are 3 versions of this box, which one are you looking at?

My thought regardless of version is this is a decent basic box comparable to a Panasonic RX-5090 or maybe a Sanyo 9920 and I think $50 is the fair market value for one in really nice fully working shape.
In other words it's no steal but your not being ripped off either.

The other big factor is how do you feel about the box, if it's a personal grail or a must have it may be worth well over $100 to you and that's completely fine. The biggest question you have to ask is "is the box worth $50 to me".

but it's worth what you feel it is - regardless of condition! Value only has meaning when y ou come to sell it.

I'd want to pay less than 20 on something I was "unsure" on.

In my opinion, it's a nice, entry-level box, especially with just a tone control. Now, I would pay $50.00 for a nice, entry-level box, especially if it were in great physical shape and everything worked. But that's just me. You'll need to make up your own mind, depending on what you want and what you have to spend. Value is a very subjective thing. And, like CalretBadger said, value really only matters when you sell it. As my wife always tells me when I try to convince her how valuable my collection is, "If you're not going to sell it, it's worth nothing."

Well I went ahead with the purchase! It's a nice box and it works good, except the tape player sounds a little flat. Everything else works good! I'm gonna clean the tape heads, and see what happens. Pretty cool little box, and the automatic search feature is cool!! This was a local deal, so at least I didn't have to pay any shipping charges.
