Hello on the sharp gf 6060 what and how does the CUT button work and do on tape deck?

It just cancels the song search feature. If you press FF or REW while playing a tape, it will start scanning in the direction you pressed until it finds at least 3 seconds of silence.

Thanks also just wondering on this gf 6060 when I go use the tape search the apss and play either way fastforward or reverse it searches for the song then stops at the song i want but turns off instead of continuing to play the song after the search then I got press play to play that song.not sure why it all plays well just I've took it apart checked everything it all seems fine but that tape search prob no big deal not sure if some modes do that or not.
