Sharp GF-525 Drive Belts

Hi All,

I'm trying to get a set of belts for a Sharp GF-525 twin cassette player. The usual lists seem to omit this model. Can I use belts from a different machine? TIA

Welcome aboard, junglemonkey! The Sharp GF-515, 525, 555, 666 all share a similar chassis and case. All seem to use the same belts, except for one belt in the GF-515. I would buy doubles of the following and give it a go:

FRW8.5
SCQ6.7
SCY9.0 (only listed for the GF-515, could be required for the GF-525, not sure)
SCX8.0

Thanks for the prompt reply. Where can I see specs for the belts? I did see a pdf somewhere for a company called Randall maybe? I have measurements but would like to see how they compare with the belts you mentioned. Thanks again!

I managed to get these belts from a guy in the UK. His name is Bob Cooke, and his Ebay user id is 40246. Incredibly helpful and has a wealth of information on drive belts. Unfortunately the new belts didn't solve the problem, but I think I've identified the actual issue. I'll start a new thread regarding that...
