I read in a post (do not remember) that there is a "phono" box or something to connect to an ipod and then the box. Can anyone shed some light on this? :dunce:

Most of these boomboxes have a "line in" or "phono in" RCA cable hookup. All you need is a set of cables that have the headphone1/8" male end that goes into your ipod headphone jack and the other end of the line will be a set of RCA cable ends to plug into the boombox.

They are only a couple dollars:

right --thats an easy to find radio shack cord --if your box has line-in or aux-in jacks-

but if it only has 'phono in' jack - then you need an adaptor -

It was phono in, and someone posted a "box" that you could hook up to the in and the phono player. Should be all good. Thanks.

You are talking about a Phono Input Attenuator. It turns a Phono Input into a Line Input. They are available through MCM Electronics on their website. They are on sale for $11.99.... :-D

I have a pre amp for conencting to Phono conenctors. It is an external box that effectively pre amplifies the audio before it enters the boomer and is just like a pass through. Works a treat. Pretty much as shown in the above link.
