So I'm bored, my wife's at work (she work's nights), so I'm just sitting at the computer looking up boxes I'm not allowed to buy.

Found this in my local craigslist, best I could find is I that I thinks it's a "Sensor RT-1246." Couldn't really find much info about it other than that, these any good? Looks really cool, but definitely not a brand I've heard of.

But I've also never heard of a Conion till I came here. :dunce:

It's an AKA of the General Sound, you should get it if the price is right, it's definitely not a high quality box, it's built very cheaply, but it's still cool-looking. On Ebay it could fetch anywhere between 150-300 if everything works and is in nice shape.

Do the Garth Brooks and ALABAMA tapes come with??? :w00t:

It kind of looks like they replaced the antennas with too long of ones... :hmmm:

I really like that box though, Chris (Lasonic920) has a similar AKA of that unit... ;-)

Like Reli said, the quality is low. I rebuilt mine in the THE LOUDER BLASTER project because it looked so good but sounded so week. Never saw it with the second deck though.

These are BIG boxes, with 8 inch speakers

Well... maybe I'll see what he wants, and if my wife will let me grab it, sounds like maybe I'd be able to find a home for it doesn't work out for me.

There's an old (globally recognised) law that states this:

When a man's significant other owns fewer pairs of shoes than he owns [insert collectible of choice here, so cars, radios, inflatables, etc.], then and only then may she use her power of veto regarding his acquiring further examples of his favourite collectable commodity.

Now given that no woman can possibly own fewer than ten pairs of shoes at any point in time, you should be fine. So just get it bought before someone beats you to it! ;-)

I could probably use this law... maybe for purses as well??? Hmm... I got a message to him to possibly meet tomorrow, he wants a fair price I think, but I still have to at least bring it up to the wife, otherwise I'm dead meat and she'll destroy the M70 that I finally just need to install the antennas on.

That's not happening.

I live by this rule!

After my wife and I moved to this house I now have my own room for radios and she has 3 of the 4 closets for clothes and shoes. I told her she can have as many shoes as she wants AS LONG AS I'm not tripping over them, (same goes for radios). Believe it or not, she has shoes for sale! She wants to make room for more and she has run out of room. The sad part is, I have run out of room too....But, being a man...I know how to build shelving :-D

BTW, Here is mine, it's labeled the GPX 990 and has VU meters instead of the second deck.

Yea very similar, sweet looking box too. That'd be cool to upgrade the sound if its pretty sub-par. I'll be reading your project threads for sure.
