So i took this Sencor s 4800 yesterday. All was ok. But suddenly the rew an fwd stopped workin. Making some clicking noise but not starting, when the pause button is pressed its going to pause some times some times just switching off the play. And the second strange thing - the right VU stopping workin time to time (actually more time is not workin) when cassette is playing. When on record level or tuning the both VU are workin perfect :hmmm: . Any ideas? Can be the tape mechanic get stuck some way :hmmm: . And can be the problem connected. Will look for bad solders too :hmmm: . Just some earlier advice will be great.
Thanks.

if you can try replacing the belts maybe they are a bit in need of changing especialy if they slip,, thats the first thing i would do ,, the vu uhmm :hmmm: :hmmm: ,, if you can spray some deoxit cleaner on the record bar and move it up and down a few times ,, i would not say it will cure it but sometimes just doing that cured some sound issues and vus not working :-) :monchito:

I have this Sencor too, and I agree with what monchito said, but if that does not work then you might want to get a service manual. Sencor used to be a Swiss company, but not any longer. They are Czech now. You don't speak Czech, do you? I tried asking them for a service manual, but they did not respond.

i just experienced something alike with my pioneer, i emptied half a can of deoxit without positive effects just to find out it had something to do with the line in
just connected and deconnected the mp3 player few times and it came to life again :hmmm:
worth a try if nothing else helps
