norm those boxes are awesome ,, i remember putting in some nice toshiba speakers from a donor box to one i had here its was great,, a lot of people pass on boxes like that without really knowing how good they sound

Love this Sears. Of course they never made it down here. As Sears anyway, no idea if they got rebadged/AKA'd as something else in other territories.

Looks a cut above the usual no-name AKA style boxes though, beautiful clean design.

This Sears model can't be beat! Solid, heavy, and thumping bass. In fact, crisp highs, too... plus all the controls you'd want. Not a bad looker, either, especially when you get those VU needles bouncing. After all these years, it's still one of my favorites! Nice pick-up!

Box isn't mine, sorry to say. Just a photo. (Don't think Luxor was available in the US.) Pretty sure, tho, the dial and meter backgrounds are grey, not blue.

It's one nice looking box and usually not very expensive, I've seen them sell mostly in the $100 to $200 range.

If folks only knew how big it was, it probably would be more popular. Seen alone in pics, it doesn't look too big. And yes the sound is very nice and sweet. Unlike BSS, I don't think the highs are as good as it can be, and given that it's got them piezos, this is no suprise. I fully plan on replacing them tweets with some proper ones and then it'll be the bomb! I love highs so it HAS to be done.
