I like the light up tuner window..
Good use of space! Members were suggesting I put a tablet in there when I modded an old SCR-8..

Excellent job!
What player you use?
How charge the battery?
How change its contents?
Use SD cards or USB port?
Please, give us more info.

Some of us can appreciate how much effort went into another person's project and be impressed by that work on its own merits, regardless of how anal our point of view.
The fact that I like this and some of us don't is irrelevant, not liking the thing doesn't give anyone carte blanche to be so damned rude, does it?

Thank you all for comments.

Sure,
I wanted to do this project for a while. Finally, found this unit on Ebay.
Non-working anything , no radio, no amp, tape mech. needs new belts.
Dirty, but good cosmetic condition once cleaned.
Found a problem with amp. Replaced a few parts (Resistors and Caps.) - All good.
Radio and AUX-in working fine. Removed Tape Mechanism and cut out opening for the tablet.
It was a tough call to find a good Android 4.0+ tablet, because opening only good for tablet with 6” screen diagonal. Finally found one on Ebay as well.
Then it was a tough to find a frame to cover tablet. Finally, found metal photo frame from a Goodwill that fit right in. Had to customize it for buttons only.
Power tablet gets from its own small 5V brick connected to main power supply’s 110V inside.
Audio out from the tablet I decided to connect to “Tape” inputs on the board, right where magnetic head plug goes, so I can still use external AUX-in if needed.
Also, added thin Light Green NEON Glow wire around the radio scale, so I can see when it’s dark.
Painted grills and frame in silver/metallic.
I use it to listen Internet Radio over Wi-Fi. Bunch of free apps.
That’s about it.

Here is a look at my recent project, it is a battery powered technics record changer cut down to fit in a cheap tool case. It runs for 4 hours on two dewalt 12 volt lithium batts.
