So from last year to 3 month ago I had to sell all my radio, pinball, mid century furniture collection. The wife and I had choose to change our whole life and sell the house and some of our business. that said once install in my new temporary rental place I found myself bored to death and she agree to let me find one little project.

this little basterd or should I say blaster was 3 hours away from my place and sold on a weird add on facebook saying old disco radio cassette, give me an offer. it took me 3 sec and offer her has much has I thouht I could while trying to figure out the condition.

I end up having a great deal on a ok condition box. that was wednesday. so a day later and I couldn't think of anything but to open-up the box to clean the thing and see how much work it needed.

so here you go a start up on a little project. I got no clue if I will do a total restore or simply make it work well again and keep is Patina.

this is my first hour in this project so way more to come. dont worry I didnt use the novus on the front.

Love the look of these.

Nightmare to have to sell everything! No fun

But at least you’ve started afresh with a good one

The worst part was the pinball they are hard to find, some model took me forever but the good thing is price of those went up like crazy in the past years, so i was able to make some little money. it was not the point of collecting them but it help with the moving I was an avid player and now I dont do tournament anymore.

I kept a big radio console a grundig but this big guy will also need to leave soon, too big to follow me.

I am pretty happy with this find and the price I paid for. now I need to order some parts and get a little more dirty.

so I got to clean more parts today and all the cleaning is done...

Now I will need to order some parts and find what cause some of my little problem.

While searching for the best way to bring back to its original state the Driver of my Bolt box I did a couple of test on some paper speaker and find a great way to restore the black on them without damaging the cone or adding weight to it. My solution China Ink! While the thing is super watery if you take a gentle brush, take your time and go super softly while removing the excess ink you can do many coats without noticing darker spots... I least I had a really great result and really pleased with it. I wouldn't do it on a thinner paper cone...

this is a comparison:
