Save old JVC?

Today in the working area of a friends car-repair.
Was shocked.
Seen between some trash an nice old JVC
A worker owns it

Yesterday i decided to stop buying( who believes it... )
But i will try an exchange.
So it´s no addition.

Anybody owns this one?
Is it an interesting unit?
The style is really outstanding.

Will try to change it against this unliked box:

i think thata a jvc rc 727 , i would try to get it if i could if nothing else just to save it from being trashed,the trade sounds like a good idea i hope you get the jvc.

Ok,today i went there with the ugly SONY in my hands.
He was working at an oldtimer-car.
We talked a littlebit about restauration and classic cars.

Then i came to the point:

Yesterday i´ve seen in the storageroom an old radio.
I collect old boomboxes and would like to get it.
What about an exchange against this modern one

Do you know, this radio was from my grandpa?
It was very expensive long time ago.
He used it to record telephon calls for the company.
He needed an own allowsheet from the telecom.
.....
....

Ok, my mind fell down to zero! :'-(
Will never get it after those words.
Just want to turn around and go...

Hey, if you like those old things no problem!
Take it and make it beauty as it was.
But i don´t need the SONY.
Take the JVC for free!

If you don´t need it, give it anybody else who need an radio for work and so.

And his moderner "brother", i saved at a flea longer time ago.
When both are pretty clean and working, he will get a look.

Sure he will love it, because the companyboss collects also.
But only tuberadios and historic furniture.

Himself he gets classic motocycles.

So everybody has a hobby.

That JVC looks mighty familier...I've seen it before...I think it was popular in Italy when I was a kid. Everybody had those, GF 9090's and Sencor's. A very sweet sounder, hope you can return it to it's glory days!

wow roman you finally got it good and yes they are old i have the 828 and you can tell it was before the 80 maybe 79 the speakers that it has were the square magnet the latter speaker started coming with the flat round speaker magnet

Those finds are more awesome, than flea or ebay.
Such boxes become personal grails for me.
