Well, I had three boxes arrive last week, and here they are.

The first is a Sanyo M7755k. I bought this one from S2G member doity, and it's full of features like loudness, SW, and six, count 'em, six speakers (Two tweeters and four full range, I imagine.) I love minis and this is my new favorite!

The second is a Sanyo C-30. I bought this one because it was close (Tacoma) and inexpensive.shipping (Ten dollars!) This one is made alot cheaper than the mini, but it sounds fantastic. No real features except a graphic equalizer, but those speakers are something else. Clear, sharp, with more bottom end than I expected, it seems to be a four speaker unit but I'm not sure what those are next to the tweeters. They look like ports and I wonder if that is what makes it sound so good. Everything works perfectly, which is nice for a change because I've been buying projects lately.

Last but not least, we have a (yes) Sanyo M9908. Now, I know some people don't like the plastic case covering the speakers, but I do. I have a weakness for one piece units. This one may not sound the best, but it will look good on the shelf next to it's brothers and sisters...

So there you have it...no grails, but keepers none the less...I know it sounds funny, but I'm happy to get boxes that only need to be cleaned. I sure is nice when things work.

Cool Kenpat, Sanyo had a great variety of boxes in the late 70's through the late 80's.

I'm partial to the 9908, it's the same basic box as the 9902 which was the first boombox I ever bought in 1979.

I have a 9908 in black and although it isn't a very loud box the sound is really quite clean and spacious. I'm always surprised how well it sounds.
