Sanyo M9926

I just was given to me for free a Sanyo M9926 boombox. All intact and needing a good cleaning. The volume/balance pot needs major deoxit cleaning...very scratchy volume and speaker cuts out on right side. Tape player play button doesn't want to engage to play,have to hold it down, but spindles all turn for ffwd/rewind, and play. What year is this baby made? I am guessing 1980. Its quite heavy for the size.

On the 'Stereo80s' page it states that Sanyo model was inroduced in 1981. (But I'm sure you googled that too).

Thafuzz...no I didn't google it, but thanks for the info! This poor ole thing needs some TLC, but after I move into our new house and get settled in, I will do a cleanup/detail on it. I am amazed how heavy and clunky it is for the size. I wish it had RCA line in/out jacks, but thats ok.

Thanks buddy! I have no camera available right now. Its packed away with my moving to new house. Radio is still at work. My cell phone has a poor camera. I know...horrible lame excuses, but the truth.
