Started to repair the damage on the M7830 today, managed to glue most parts together quite well, very difficult as the plastic bends and stretches before it breaks so the pieces don't quite fit together. So after quite a few hours of sticking pieces together, some filling, sanding, some more filling and sanding, it's almost ready for the first coat of primer and then more filling and sanding. Anyway here it is so far.
This small part was in 3 pieces, managed to fill in the missing bit and put the pattern on it.
The first fill after gluing.
And after sanding.
Top view.
The glue I used was Loctite 403 and activator expensive glue but worth the money, and used Isopon P38 filler
this works very well on plastic and behaves like a glue bonding and filling at the same time and is flexible so won't crack.
