You might also know Santa as Roman or ViennaSound .
We have worked out a trade for this a while ago and believe me, I was happy but I did not expect that old mono box to be that good.
Well, needless to say I changed my opinion 100% now .
I plugged it in and was blown away!!!!
Radio reception is crystal clear, love the LED peak VUs and tape is fully working and this BEAST blasts!!!
You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen...but do you recall the most powerful mono of all?
The best part is that the front is pretty dang mint - no dings or scratches!
only thing i need to get done is transplant a JVC handle from an 828 or so...no biggie after all
This box is beautiful and deserves it's name "Big momma" of all boomboxes

Gonna place a strap order soon...I do not think it has the buckle system though - just a regular strap i believe....

Yup - somebody took it out cleanly..so the mounts are gone too...no idea what went on but Roman told me it came from some hospital .
Maybe the equivalent to the burglar alarm on the C100
Anyway, since JVC used the same mounts for most of their boxes, it should be no biggie after shortening the black handle bar

@fuz: no idea why, but the hospital must have opened the box and taken off the grip - including the holders inside!
No idea why, but sure not a result of damage.
Maybe any crazy law?
Like on the big SHARP , max got from scool. They have killed the radio section there...
