The last stereo I owned before moving to separates. Is it technically a boombox? It connected together as an all-in-one but split down into separate parts too.

I'd be interested in picking one up. It looked like this:



Any comments? Hard to find?

Yes it’s a boombox, several members have them. They are a bit rare and the deck doors are often missing suggesting the clips that hold them are rather fragile. Sound quality is very good, tight bass, definitely one of the more desirable Boomboxes. The CP-7 is even more highly sought after but most by now are suffering from LCD issues rendering the tuner almost useless.

There are collectors in the UK with these. You never know, someone might part with one.

I remember that, once the door was open, it took very little effort to 'slide' it up a centimetre or two (OK, it was an inch) to remove it. Definitely fragile!
