My excitement has diminished quite a bit after seeing this isn't strictly a Sansui product. :-/

Yeah but they got the colour scheme smack on. Music power seems pathetic.
Or are they just playing it safe with a rather standard Black, Silver & Red? If sales went through the roof would they go for a Metallic Gold, Yellow, White or any other colour? Methinks this was more of a 'make a quick buck model' and then move on.

Quoted from Wikipedia

'Sansui Electric Co., Ltd. (山水電気株式会社, Sansui Denki Kabushiki-gaisha) is a Japanese manufacturer of audio and video equipment. Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, it is part of Grande Holdings, a Chinese Hong Kong-based conglomerate, which also owns Japanese brands Akai and Nakamichi'

Basically this is a badge-engineered product, they slap whatever brand they own onto the front and trade on a name from the past, it has none of the quality associated with any brand when they were on their own. That's why there are some many 'aka's' of this unit. I did consider buying the Aldi version, but Techmoan's review seriously put me off.

It's difficult to say if its stereo or not. Regardless with the functionally fully covered it wouldn't take much to add a new amp and speakers to make this thing hum.
