Hi gang

I am waiting on my newest purchase arriving in a couple of days, it's the NEC RM2800 in close to mint condition and working order. Only problem is it has some rust on the battery terminals, not real bad corrosion just surface rust. Can any of you guys give me the best method for removing it? From what I can gather, white distilled vinegar is a good option. Any other ideas would be much appreciated. Who leaves battery's in their boxes whan not in use? The thought baffles me

Well, if you'd just mechanically remove rust it would be back, so the surface has to be treated.

Ahh I see what your saying, so the wire brush and wire wool would be no good then.

I've had luck removing rust from battery springs using spray contact cleaner, and a tooth brush....
