robin 2400 restoration

hello all ....so here is my first tear down and refurbish radio...just got this one today its fully functional...but it looked a little brused up..the paint on the sides was faded the grills had a little rust and a few minor dentson them.. and of course what i really hate is paint specks on the back and a little on the top...its just crying to be refurbished...so here goes took the entire radio apart very carefully so far so good nothing major to report no cracks alittle dirty on the inside but seems to be original here are the starting pics

Great box to start a first restoration.
Very straight forward design and easy to R&R!!!
Nice progress so far I know it will be a thing of beauty when you are done!!!!
BTW A heat gun on low heat will straighten that handle out, my Nippon had the same problem.

The sides of the Robin case are odly similar to that of the M70! Interesting....

Great minds think alike, I wanted to suggest doing that to the speaker inserts as I wish I would have done that to the bolt box.
Those rings are going to look like they are floating in there. Did you paint the chrome?
