You know, frankly I thought the handle damage was due to crappy packing but the cassette description didn't jive.
Then after returning it with the broken handle, I would've thought that he would at least include those issues in it's description now that it's confirmed broken -- nope. Something is just not right with this seller as he apparently refuses to describe honestly and accurately. The cassette does not eat tapes -- it does crap with the play button jammed.
As for the cassette -- let's just say that with no parts available and non-existent documentation and schematics on this model, I'm not ready risk $150 or $180 that the cassette doesn't have broken linkages, missing springs, or what-not possibly rendering it not-repairable. The play button is jammed down, won't retract and the cassette buttons are bent too.
Anyhow, the price is so alluring that someone is going to buy it -- no question. For me and my money, I'd rather deal with honest people and a known product. No amount of cheap $$ is worth doing business with unscrupulous sellers.
