Rising 20/20 & Crown CSC-950F... Cousins, perhaps?

They were both made in Japan, so maybe?

Judging by the small number of knobs on the top panel, doesn't seem like it has that many features. Actually, seems to share some similarities with the Rising 20/20 in terms of the layout, LED meters, etc.

Yeah, and that's exactly why I bought it... It's like a Rising Jr. I'd rather listen to the Crown than the Rising tho.

I've always wanted to get a shot of these 2 boxes together... Well, yesterday, I took care of that.

^ I had to max out the "Shadows" in my iPhoto editing to get that outline of the boxes effect... Turned out great!

If anybody has noticed, the meters on the Crown are hitting harder than the meters on the Rising... Both boxes were set at 4 while the radio was playing, but I didn't realize that I had the loudness on the Rising turned off - which makes a big difference in how far to the right those LEDS bounce - until after I shot my pics. Still, both boxes playing the same music at the same time was pretty damn impressive!

Great photo skills Mono and I love the 950 (no doubt the 20/20 its a "gotta" love box too).

The 950 remind me of a lesser chromed lasonic 920 (one of my favorites)..

Great pics...those boxes look very good together. I can't wait to get home because I have a 950 still in a box that I haven't seen or heard yet. What does the sound compare to??

I honestly think you'd have to ask somebody else that question... With the exception of my Lasonic TRC-931, my latest arrival just retired every other box in my collection. That said, I can't even remember what the Crown sounds like, even tho I was playing it days ago.

Actually, I almost won the 2nd one, but you know how it goes... Somebody wanted it more than I did and I got outbid in the last seconds. But like you said, one M90 is enough... I can't complain!
