Researching libraries for boombox info

It`s quite easy to find out the first
release /production year of a boombox...
(from the big players(panasonic,sony asf.)
Most dates are correct(+ - 1year)

I`m searching microfiche files and I use to get copies from patent documents,for example see this one:
