As most VZ owners will know, the sliders break very easily seeing as Sharp used the cheapest plastic available at the time. I bought some sliders from bregdeo and as he has some rejects (air bubbles in them) he sent me them so i could practise painting them. Yesterday i broke another original slider off my VZ number 1.......

So what i did was cut off the bottom of the original slider with a modelling hand saw, then cut off the top on one from bregdeo, sand both down on a file until the were both half thickness, then glued them together with Gorilla glue.

heres the finish item. Its slightly thicker than original, but the way they sit on the unit, it wont matter, the joint mark is below the line of sight.......

hope it helps someone.....i have 3 more originals with the bottoms broken and will try to repair in the same way.

the sliders from bregdeo are made of better materials than the originals so you will be able to pull them back off for cleaning/maintenance etc.....
