A friend of mine always use those rechargeable batteries an he says it works fine.
He uses on GF777, C100, M70 and M90.

I used the cheap Energizer's for years and years, wore them on (not on an M90). They worked fine, just not for as long as regular D cells.

You want to look for 11,000 mAh D's, they will last as long as Duracell's, but they are pricey.

The Energizer's I used were 2400 mAh and basically had a AA battery inside them, but they did work

Does it work properly, yes, but you won't get as much ultimate power as you could with regular alkaline 1.5V batteries.

I use the Silver/Green colored Energizer rechargeable ones in My M90. But, I haven't blasted it loudly nor for extended periods of time. I'll have to try and push them father to test their limits sometime. I'm more conservative with the volume outside generally.

10,000 mAh Tenergy's on Ebay are the way to go.

Like Reli mentioned it is better to upgrade to something higher than 2500 mAh NiMH types for that extra battery life, but the 2500 mAh worked well for him.

Yep. Those are the ones I use. They work great!!!
