do any of you ever receive a stereo station so clearly --(on a boomer)
that you are completely satisfied with your reception ? :angelic:

like so good --that you might as well be hearing a brand new CD

or -is that jst too much of a stretch
:-D

I seem to have some recollection of having "miracle" reception at some point in time. I'm wanting to think it was with a classical station because I remember being amazed at how quiet a musical passage was. The noise floor was so low, it was almost like listening to a CD - not quite, but darn close. So, I know it can happen sometimes. :-)

that happens to me rarely
and always very late at night --

but it can get so clear and quiet --
its both scary and dreamy :angelic: :angelic:

one most recent rare moment was late last night --

SADE came over --and was 'singing on my face' :-O
to the quiet tune of ' soldier of love '

she was like that live
=======================

of course --having a boomer hooked up to
a roof antenna is cheating :nonono:
:-D ;-)

the strongest stations

here

are cd like, and they have the airwave feel to them, very low noise to none

that makes it so cool.

too bad sometimes radios only play crappy music.

but some still play good ones.

I can see the antenna for our local 'community' station at the top of the church tower. (100w ERP) Therefore I get noise-free stereo even with the antennas down on the boxes and on the Pioneer tuner with no antenna connected. In fact I get several 'copies' of the station on some boxes depending on how selective the receiver section is. The Sharp 8989 is just a 'one station' box on FM due to the overwhelming signal strength - shame it's nothing worth listening to most of the time :-P

I get several stations in virtually noise-free stereo; BBC FM Nationals our nearest TX is about 25 miles away and is 250KW.

BBC Local Radio -12 miles away at 2KW, nearest commercial local is also 2KW (same physical site as the BBC Local).

:agree: It happens once in a while with a few stations but it's very spotty.
