I've been working on a project designing a replacement faceplate for the Realistic SCR-8. Well, with the fabulous help of Gordie donating a project SCR-8 box to the cause, I finally have all the measurements corrected and finalized. Having the SCR-8 in person definitely helps to test fit the mock-ups.

Anyway, I printed a couple and tweaked them before I finally got the fit I was looking for. Hopefully, it will all transfer nicely over to the actual aluminum faceplate when they are fabricated.

Hey FD, you do realize that all the SCR-8 knobs were in the packing box...because i don't see them on the boombox in your pics

I remember that blu fuz does plasma cutting. Maybe I'll check with him and see if he can do laser cutting too.

Outstanding bobby, you are a major force in keeping boxes cool.

Turbomustang84 comes to mind for the laser cutting but I'm not sure that's correct. :hmmm:

*OH-good on ya for the faceplate  You can make some serious profit just selling the stickers! Especially on the bay ;-) :ebay: Just don't let Decentman4u buy from you

Love your work Bobby, mock up looks like it'll do the job perfectly.

Good luck finding the appropriate cutter.

Rock On.

Do you feel like selling or trading for the knobs FD? :hmmm: ;-)

Mayhaps it be a Boombox ye desire :pirate:
Hey Chris, the SCR-8 came with knobs. Gord had taken them off before shipping and put them in a bag. They just weren't on the box in those pictures. ;-)

I gotcha! Worth a try! But that is a major accomplishment with the face plate though!!! I have a set of generic knobs on mine right now, just missing the faceplate now

Excellent! Very impressed! The LED meter lights on the SCR-8 are legendary! As this is a focal point on this box,a missing faceplate can deal a terrible blow to this model. Given this the graphic being close to perfect is very important. It looks like you have achieved this!
