Reader's Digest?????

Got this one for next to nothing off a contact who used to "collect" boxes a bit. He knows i'm bang into them so he picked this bad boy up for me.
Fully working Crown AKA. Very simple and plain looking but I kind of like it. Especially for $5!!!!!!!!!!

looks like it could have been made by Crown.
Similar to a Crown 950.
It has some design cues like the Crown 950 except for the VU's and the speaker grills.

I think it's an AKA of the Crown CSC-945, I've only seen one or two ever.

Are you looking at the same pic as I am, the Readers Digest box in this post has Needle VU's, I don't know of any 950's with needle VU's.

still - its a 950//945 hybrid -- as the tweeters are not 945 --
they are 950ish

I believe you are correct... It's a 950 with needle meters and square grills but no battery indicator light.
