Re-"foaming" on a Sharp WQ-T282 :)

So this is what I got on last sunday's flea for 1 euro
It is fully working but someone cut a big hole in the back cover
Still for 1 euro, I took it and wa surprised when I found it to be fully working .
Well, today as I listen to it, the left speaker starts to rattle and vibrate..I think it is the foam around the speakers so i open it and yes, it is the foam.
As I touch it, it just falls off the cone .
So, I think to myself - I won't get new foaming for this 1-euro beater and think back to the thread where someone refoamed speakers with an old T-shirt .
I had no rubber glue stuff at home and no equipment either so I just went for the old fabric and tried my luck .
What can I say...after 1 hour and fiddling, it is cranking again now and both speakers work nicely . They distort a little sooner than before but I don't care - I call this a success.
Plus: Orange fabric looks kinda badass around those speakers .

for your first try it's not too bad,now if you can get used to the speakers looking like they have glazed donuts for suspension really though a pretty good experiment if you are left with no options .

Oh my goodness...this brought me to tears with laughter...this repair job is about as correct as it can get for a 1 Euro box. And Max, we've had the Taira M-90, The Doomer, Island Box, Marine JVC and others...

But you my friend have invented...

It is funny - I never thought of donuts when I saw it - it actually looked kinda cool to me but now that everyone says I also can only think "Donuts" when I see the Sharp .

I was surprised how good it worked though - I centered the cone with a normal D-battery and then just attached the fabric to the boarders of the speaker and it worked on both speakers...thanks for the cool thread!
