RC-828 #3 arrived today.

Got another JVC RC-828L #3 today. Decent physical condition. Needs minor repairs and a volume slider. Most controls do work but I need to go through it more thoroughly. Will get pics tomorrow.

#4 RC-828JW should be on its way here soon! And a Lasonic TRC-918,too!

No problem, you had spares lying around in France, no wonder I had trouble finding replacements!

Its looking and sounding good again!

I put new volume sliders in this unit, unfotunately, I can't find the correct taper/slope so I put in linears and got the unit to work!

I put new belts on the unit and it played slow?
I checked for binding and proper voltage to motor, all good?
I stared at the tape mechanism for awhile and it was right in front of me!
The motor pulley is a double pulley, it was on upside down and I didn't do it!
So I flipped the pulley around and the tape plays at the correct speed.

So far it seems to be 100% functioning now!
