Rare little Sanyo M7880L in blue

Snapped this up on a bargain eBay BIN whilst everyone else was napping it seems!...it’s the first box I’ve bought in a long time that worked perfectly straight out the box; radio, tape, and line in! Sounds great and is heavy for a smaller box...typical Sanyo quality. Despite being clean and all working of course I had to strip it down and give it a bath lol. Anyway, here it is all shiny :-)

A real beauty to be sure, is the knob on the L/H end the tuning knob? If it is, it's the first left-handed tuner I've seen.

Tuning is on the front right below the dial, the knob on the left side is the fine tuning :-)

I must be getting dafter, I looked for just that type of tuning wheel before I posted and couldn't see it at all! :blush: :bang:

I can see it more easily in the 4th pic so I guess it would be more apparent if this BB was displayed next to a black BB?

I love the box, it has those all important classic lines.

Yeh they’re a very dark blue...I guess the darkness and the high gloss shine make it hard to tell. But it’s definitely blue :-)

i just studied mine in every light at every angle --
it's BLACK .. 100%
but it must be even nicer with the blue tint
